Nephi City Main Street

Nephi City, a county seat in central Utah, has begun an ambitious revitalization project on Main Street.  Although the streetscape already has some good ingredients — successful businesses, a park, and plenty of space – it needed a unifying strategy to pull everything together.  We worked with community leaders and citizens to craft a vision of what Main Street could become, and assembled a detailed concept design and report based on these interactions.  Horrocks Engineers led the overall project and provided stormwater analysis and recommendations.

Nephi is now assembling funding to move forward with the approved concept, which will involve further community interaction and more detailed design.

As part of the project, we analyzed pedestrian facilities and potential.

We produced a variety of traffic alignment options incorporating bike lanes into the system.
