Philip A. Berley Preschool of the Arts7.16.18
This space provided an opportunity to design a property with a smaller budget and area, confined by buildings on either side. The preschool needed a space that would allow both unstructured play and the ability to hold classes outside. We designed a fun and safe atmosphere for the students that featured a climbing hill, small garden, various interactive toys, an art area with a “museum” where completed art could be displayed, and a vertical water wall. With this project, our emphasis was on designing an area that could provide great outside education and freedom, despite being located in an urban area.
